Three, governance will become a competitive differentiator: vendors that can demonstrate transparent evaluation, bias checks, and robust third party risk management will win hospitals and clinics that invest in defensible AI.

The takeaway from The Download is not that AI is a fad in security or care, but that it now coexists with both in urgent, practical ways. The era demands a mindset shift: deploy AI with equal parts innovation and guardrails, because the next wave of breakthroughs will ride on the same rails as the next wave of attacks.
