NIST News adds another layer: the institute’s latest updates to AI risk management guidance are being framed as practical, non-negotiable steps for organizations modeling, deploying, or procuring AI. The regulator-advisor ecosystem is increasingly relying on standardized risk frameworks, audit trails, and governance controls to reduce ambiguity about what “good AI stewardship” looks like in real-world use.
