Woot just turned up the heat on game deals.

The retailer is running a Black Friday–style push titled “Video Games for All,” with deep cuts on physical PS5, Switch, and Xbox titles plus accessories. The sale stretches through March 5, but a limited-time extra kicker ends earlier: use LEVEL20 at checkout for an additional 20% off items already in the sale, up to a total of $30 off per order. That means if you’re filling a cart with mid-priced titles, you can see a meaningful price dip; if you’re chasing a $10 bargain, the percentage discount won’t move the needle as much because the cap bites early.

What’s on offer isn’t a grab bag of bargain-bin throwaways. The Verge’s rundown highlights a slate of notable titles and price drops that will land with different audiences. Elden Ring on PS5 is listed at $49.99 normally, but it’s shown as $15.99 in the current Woot listing. Silent Hill F on PS5 is displayed as $69.99, with a sale price of $35.99. Metaphor: ReFantazio on Xbox is $69.99, marked down to $14.39. Balatro: Special Edition on Switch is $29.99, down to $13.59. And Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on Switch sits at $59.99 with a sale price of $37.59. The lineup also teases the Super Mario Galaxy double-pack for Switch, a perennial favorite that tends to show up in strong bundles during these events.

The sale isn’t limited to games alone. Woot’s lineup includes gaming accessories—totes, controllers, and more—making it a one-stop shop for gift-giving or a big personal pull for chaotic-wifi living rooms that still want to game after a long day.

From a retailer-ops perspective, the timing makes sense. Inventory clear-out-style promotions pull in bargain hunters, especially when the discount stack can reach a material savings. The LEVEL20 code is a classic tactic to drive larger carts by layering an additional incentive on top of already reduced prices. But there is a built-in gravity well: stock. The better the title, the faster it can vanish, leaving later shoppers with fewer options or higher shipping costs if the stock is sparse.

Two concrete practitioner insights for buyers:

  • The mathematics of LEVEL20 matters. A 20% cut with a $30 cap means you’ll max out on larger carts or mid-priced titles faster than on cheap or highly discounted scrollers. If you want two or three titles, you’ll likely realize the most savings by targeting items around the mid-range price points rather than the lowest-dollar picks.
  • Physical discs versus digital. This sale is stacked with physical copies and accessories, offering tangibility, potential gift appeal, and resale value. For parents or gift givers, physical media has advantages in terms of giftability and no need to wait for digital sales windows. For frequent travelers or “no-clutter” households, digital discounts can still win—but you don’t get the guaranteed availability or the same resale option.
  • If you’re weighing the obvious alternative—waiting for other retailers or digital storefronts—the Woot bundle is attractive for the immediate, tangible savings and the chance to snag limited copies before they vanish. The tradeoff is stock risk and the need to physically handle a package, plus any shipping and tax considerations that aren’t captured in the headline price.

Verdict: Buy the titles you actually want at eye-catching prices now, especially those Elden Ring, Silent Hill F, and Metaphor: ReFantazio drops that are too good to pass up. If you’re hunting for heavy discounts on a long digital wishlist, you may want to compare with other retailers or wait for renewed digital promotions, but for physical copies and bonus accessories, this sale is worth a look.
