At RoboBusiness 2026, AGIBOT plans to explain what must change before pilot robots can become commercial systems.
AGIBOT has announced a conference session—not a new deployment—on moving humanoids from laboratory development into real-world use. Yinghao Song, the company’s head of North America and product lead, is scheduled to speak on Oct. 20 at 1:15 p.m. Pacific time in Santa Clara, California, according to The Robot Report.
The practical consequence is a shift in the question. The challenge is no longer only whether an AI system can perform a task in a controlled demonstration. AGIBOT says commercial deployment also depends on hardware that can operate in complex human environments, plus the industrial systems needed to produce and support it.
Song’s planned discussion will cover supply-chain requirements for reaching mass-production “inflection points,” the investment logic of humanoid and quadruped robotics, and the return-on-investment frameworks enterprises require before integration, The Robot Report reports. For operators, that means a robot must fit a repeatable business case—not merely complete an impressive task.
AGIBOT also plans to address the software-hardware gap. The company says modular software stacks and open software development kits could let partners deploy full-size humanoids and dexterous hands across automotive, manufacturing, logistics, and research settings.
The report identifies an AGIBOT semi-humanoid in a pilot at Longcheer Technology’s Nanchang factory, but provides no operating duration, task scope, supervision level, or performance data. The useful next signal will be whether Song presents deployment metrics and shows how AGIBOT’s proposed supply chain, software tools, and ROI model work beyond pilot projects.
