Beidian Digital Intelligence Uses WAIC 2026 to Package AI Applications for Public Services and Industry

By Chen Wei4 min read

An Agent personality quiz drew visitors into a broader showcase spanning community healthcare, education, content generation, research workflows and factory operations.

Beidian Digital Intelligence used its WAIC 2026 booth to present a portfolio of AI applications aimed at public services, schools, content creators, researchers and industrial operators, with an interactive Agent MBTI quiz serving as the main visitor attraction.

The company’s exhibition centered on an eight-question touchscreen test that generated an Agent character card after visitors completed the assessment. The resulting profiles included labels such as “exploration assistant,” “inspiration accelerator” and “data investigator.” The format turned the abstract idea of AI agents into a consumer-facing interaction, while directing visitors toward larger demonstrations of the company’s products.

Behind the quiz, Beidian Digital Intelligence positioned its Spark platform as an urban AI hub intended to connect government, enterprises and research institutions. The company presented it as a shared computing and AI capability layer supporting healthcare, education, cultural tourism, industrial operations and AI-for-science applications.

The booth was divided into areas for public-service AI, AI content creation, scientific research and industrial intelligence. The layout reflects a common commercial strategy among Chinese AI infrastructure and platform providers: use a single underlying computing and model stack, then package it into sector-specific solutions for buyers with different budgets, procurement channels and data requirements.

In community healthcare, Beidian Digital Intelligence demonstrated its Family Doctor Assistant, which is designed to interpret residents’ health-check indicators, organize consultation information and prepare suggested replies and follow-up tasks for family doctors. The company said the system can automatically classify and summarize routine resident inquiries, allowing medical staff to concentrate on cases requiring clinical judgment and continuing care.

Beidian Digital Intelligence claimed that one online staff member supported by the system can manage daily health consultations for 5,000 to 8,000 residents, with response rates above 99% and replies within one hour. Those operational figures are company claims presented at the exhibition and have not been independently verified.

For education, the company showed its Education Digital Brain, including a classroom cognitive heat map intended to display students’ mastery of individual knowledge points and identify areas needing attention in subsequent lessons. Beidian Digital Intelligence said the product integrates data from before, during and after classes to build learning profiles and assist teachers with pacing and instructional planning.

The company said a Beijing secondary school had conducted 10 organized teaching activities using the system, reaching more than 100 teacher and student participations. It did not identify the school, disclose a commercial contract, or provide outcome measures such as test-score changes, teacher time savings or deployment costs.

The content-creation section featured Changying, a one-stop AIGC platform demonstrated through a “city ambassador” experience. Visitors could enter a city name and upload a photograph to generate a storyboard-style postcard combining their image with a local cultural-tourism theme.

Beidian Digital Intelligence said Changying can automate steps from creative planning and scriptwriting to storyboarding, asset generation and final video production. It claimed the platform can shorten delivery from weeks to hours, cut production costs for city tourism short dramas by more than 60%, and reduce compute costs for a 30-second video by 75%. The company also said a 30-episode children’s animated short drama made with the platform had been released on Tencent Video. The exhibition materials did not specify the production budget, model suppliers, compute hardware, rights ownership arrangements or revenue generated by those projects.

For research users, Beidian Digital Intelligence presented an AI research-agent platform it said was jointly developed with a national-level laboratory. The company said the platform can help users review literature, identify research questions, formulate hypotheses and generate experimental validation plans. It identified infectious-disease prevention, chronic respiratory disease and precision oncology as application areas, but did not name the laboratory or disclose customers, research outputs or validation results.

The industrial demonstration presented an AI Industrial Brain through a 3D factory sandbox. Visitors could initiate an order on a tablet and watch agents handle planning, manufacturing, procurement and predictive maintenance workflows. Beidian Digital Intelligence said its diagnostic function can reduce troubleshooting from hours to minutes and help less experienced workers handle faults previously requiring veteran technicians.

For global buyers, the exhibition matters less as evidence of proven performance than as a signal of product positioning. Beidian Digital Intelligence is selling AI as a set of deployable vertical solutions rather than as a general-purpose model or a standalone data-center product. That framing can align with procurement in China, where municipal agencies, schools, hospitals and manufacturers often seek complete workflows, implementation support and locally tailored data integration.

The key uncertainty is commercial maturity. The company did not disclose named deployment customers for Changying, the research-agent platform or the Industrial Brain, nor did it provide ownership structures, model suppliers, hardware configurations or contract values. The healthcare, education, content and industrial efficiency claims should therefore be treated as vendor statements from a trade-show demonstration, not as independently established benchmarks.
