The three-model lineup costs $549 to $1,199, but independent cleaning tests have not arrived.
Dyson has announced three Nurovi robot vacuums, each built around a different cleaning job. Vacuum Wars saw the machines at Dyson Unveiled 2026 in Berlin and spoke with Dyson representatives.
The $549 R1 Nurovi Dry is the simplest option: it only vacuums. Dyson says its Twin-capture system guides larger debris toward the intake while focusing suction on finer dust. The company claims 21,000 pascals of suction, a pressure rating used to describe vacuum strength.
The $699 R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry adds mopping with two Reuleaux-triangle-shaped pads. Their unusual movement creates a squarer cleaning path, which Dyson says helps the pads reach deeper into 90-degree corners than round pads. Its dock washes and dries the pads.
At $1,199, the R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV is the premium model. It uses a self-cleaning roller mop and combines ultraviolet light, green illumination, cameras and artificial intelligence vision to search for stains and residue. Dyson says it can identify nearly 200 types of household substances and objects, then revisit detected spots. Dyson also claims 30,000 pascals of suction.
The catch is proof, not the feature list. Vacuum Wars said it has not independently tested the robots, so the suction, stain-detection and cleaning claims still come from Dyson.
Dyson said the R2 launched at Costco on September 3, 2026, and scheduled the R3 for U.S. release on September 15. The R1’s release timing remains unconfirmed. For now, vacuum-only shoppers can watch the R1, while mopping buyers should wait for independent tests before paying the R3 premium.
