Dreame Adds Steam to Aqua20 Robot Vacuum

Dreame showed its Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller X Complete at IFA 2026. U.S. price and release plans remain unknown.
What Changed
Dreame’s new Aqua20 combines steam pretreatment with a fresh-water roller mop. Vacuum Wars calls it Dreame’s first robot vacuum with that pairing.
Dreame says its internal system makes steam at 180°C. Four outlets apply steam before hot-water mopping. The goal is to loosen dried stains first.
The company also claims 40,000 Pa of suction. Its AquaRoll mop gets fresh water as it cleans. Dreame says the roller spins at 300 rpm.
For edges, the MopExtend system can push the roller outward by up to 8 centimeters. Dreame also claims improved step climbing. Its ProLeap system is rated for single steps up to 5 centimeters.
Dock and Carpet Features
The dock can wash the roller mop with water heated to 100°C, according to Dreame. It also says the robot covers its wet roller when it detects carpet.
Dreame claims its camera-based system recognizes more than 320 object types. It says the system can spot obstacles as small as 10 millimeters.
Those cleaning, climbing, and object-avoidance figures are company claims. Vacuum Wars has not yet tested a retail unit.
Cost and Verdict
Dreame says the Aqua20 will be available soon in the United Kingdom. It did not announce U.S. pricing or U.S. availability.
That makes the total ownership cost unknown. There is also no clear U.S. launch date.
Verdict: Wait. Steam pretreatment is the big change, but this remains an announced product. Shoppers should wait for U.S. pricing and independent tests of stains, carpets, and thresholds.
