Honor Robot Phone Starts at 9,999 Yuan
Honor has launched its Robot Phone in China, with two storage options and a claimed camera-led design.
What Honor announced
Honor launched the Robot Phone on August 12, according to IT Home. The 12GB RAM and 512GB storage model starts at 9,999 yuan. A 16GB and 1TB version costs 12,999 yuan.
The phone comes in Startrail Silver and Moonshadow Gray. It is 9.59mm thick and weighs 248g, IT Home reported.
Its 6.3-inch flat LTPO display has a 2640-by-1216 resolution. Honor lists peak brightness at 6,800 nits and includes an anti-reflection film.
The device uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. It has a 7,060mAh battery.
Camera and robotics claims
Honor describes the camera system as a titanium-alloy gimbal architecture. The company says the design is 65% smaller than mainstream gimbal systems.
IT Home also reported that this is Honor’s first commercial product from its partnership with ARRI. Honor says the work combines its mobile imaging tools with ARRI’s cinema imaging experience.
The supplied information does not explain what “Robot Phone” means in daily use. It also does not detail autonomous functions, moving parts, software behavior, or shipment timing.
Demand and deployment status
Luo Wei, Honor’s chief imaging engineer, said pre-orders had exceeded 400,000 units, according to IT Home. That figure is a company statement, not an independently verified sales total.
The phone has been officially launched and priced. The available evidence does not confirm broad retail delivery or user performance in the field.
