The printers extrude UV-curable resin to produce clips, covers and lab tools. Astronauts can queue jobs remotely, then let Astrobee deliver finished parts to experiment racks using magnetic grippers.

Engineers are testing how microgravity affects curing and adhesion. The team built AI inspection routines so Astrobee can scan prints, compare them to CAD models and flag deviations before astronauts rely on them.

NASA plans to extend the capability to Gateway lunar station missions. The agency is partnering with Made In Space to evaluate metal printing inserts for future upgrades.
