Vacuum Wars found major cleaning gains, but the $879.99 sale price still buys known tradeoffs.

What Changed

Roborock’s Qrevo Edge 2 is a U.S. update to the original Qrevo Edge.
Vacuum Wars says the older model appears retired in the U.S.

The new robot is 3.14 inches tall.
That is down from 4.06 inches on the original Edge.

Vacuum Wars says the lower body helps it clean under low furniture.
It uses retractable LiDAR for navigation.

The reviewer also found stronger carpet cleaning.
The Edge 2 removed 94% of embedded sand in its carpet test.
That beat the original Edge’s 85% result.

It also picked up 89.5% of tested pet hair.
The original Edge scored 80.5%, according to Vacuum Wars.

The Catch

This is not the best fit for cluttered homes.
Vacuum Wars rated its obstacle avoidance below average.

Its onboard dustbin is also smaller than average.
That could matter in homes with lots of bulky pet hair.

The robot has automatic dustbin emptying and a self-cleaning dock.
It also has dual spinning mop pads and heated mop washing.

Price and Verdict

Vacuum Wars lists a regular price of $1,299.99.
Its listed sale price was $879.99, a $420 discount.

That is still a premium robot vacuum price.
The current deal and long-term costs remain unclear.

Verdict: Buy if you need low-clearance cleaning and strong carpet results.
Wait if obstacle avoidance is your top concern.
