Siemens Expands Foundation Model Ops to Audit Industrial Co-Pilots

The update pipes Copilot interactions into Mindsphere, where a compliance service correlates AI recommendations with PLC state diffs. Supervisors can approve or roll back changes, and regulators can export weekly snapshots for audits.

Siemens partnered with Allianz Risk Consulting to define red-line policies for high-risk production steps. Customers can attach human approvals, domain-specific guardrails and fallback scripts before a Copilot suggestion ever touches a machine.

Pilot customers in Bavaria say the governance tooling helps satisfy EU AI Act record-keeping requirements. Siemens will roll the feature to North America next quarter as part of its Industrial Operations X portfolio.
