Humanoids pilot with Hexagon and Fill in Austria

A humanoid robot is headed to a live Austrian production line. Hexagon Robotics and Fill Maschinenbau have announced a collaboration to define how humanoids can work alongside Fill’s manufacturing solutions to increase autonomy in advanced manufacturing. The effort is anchored by AEON, Hexagon Robotics’ multi-purpose humanoid, which will be piloted at a Fill client site in Gurten to test integration within real factory workflows.

Hexagon Robotics and Fill say the partnership is about moving beyond demos toward deployments that demonstrate measurable autonomy improvements on the shop floor. The pilot will deploy AEON, Hexagon’s multi-purpose humanoid, to operate within a real Fill client’s workflow in Gurten, Austria, with the aim of proving practical integration rather than a staged showcase.
