Sony A7R VI hits 66.8 MP for $4,500

Sony just unleashed a 66.8 MP flagship that comes with a $4,499.99 price tag. The A7R VI uses a fully stacked full-frame sensor delivering 66.8 megapixels and up to 16 stops of dynamic range.

That stacked architecture enables faster readout, higher burst rates, and silent shooting with the electronic shutter, along with improved video performance.

It looks just like the A7R V, and other Sony cameras, but inside the new hardware is where the gains live. The product is set to launch in June, with a price that marks a $600 rise from the A7R V’s 2022 debut.
