AI Governance: A New Regional Initiative for Europe

In a bold move towards responsible AI governance, the Partnership on AI (PAI) has launched its inaugural European Steering Committee, inviting leaders from various sectors to chart a path forward in AI ethics and accountability. This initiative goes beyond collaboration; it addresses the urgent need for coherent frameworks to manage AI's transformative impact on society.

As artificial intelligence technology proliferates and becomes intrinsically linked to major sectors-from healthcare to finance-the governance of AI is undergoing critical reevaluation. With Europe at a geopolitical crossroads regarding AI strategy, the formation of PAI's European Steering Committee comes at a pivotal moment.
