Dyson has unveiled its most powerful cordless vacuum yet, powered by a 900-watt Hyperdymium motor.

The V16 Piston Animal lineup marks Dyson’s loudest statement yet in the cordless category. The standard V16 Piston Animal and its wet-and-dry sibling, the Submarine, arrive after the platform was teased last year at Dyson Unveiled. Dyson positions the new models as the pinnacle of its cordless power, aiming at homes that demand serious pet hair and deep-clean capability without tethering to a wall outlet. The company says the platform delivers up to 315 air watts of fade-free suction, with the top end pushing performance for longer cleanups that used to require a corded machine, all while offering a substantial runtime.

A centerpiece of the V16 is the redesigned dual conical cleaner head, branded All Floor Cones Sense. The system uses dual conical brush bars to actively detangle hair and fine fibers and then automatically adapt suction and brush-bar performance as you move between carpets, hardwood, and area rugs.
