GOKO’s M6 robotic mower targets rough lawns with 4WD, AI vision, and a founder price

The GOKO M6 is being pitched as a wire-free mower for steep, uneven, and obstacle-heavy yards, with early sales tied to a Kickstarter push and a limited Founder Edition offer.

A robot mower built for difficult properties

GOKO, the consumer robotics brand of Robot++, is trying to solve a problem that basic robotic lawn mowers often avoid: complicated yards.

The company says its M6 is an industrial-grade, AI-powered robotic lawn mower designed for larger properties, uneven terrain, steep slopes, and multiple mowing zones. That matters because a lot of robot mowers do fine on flat, predictable lawns but struggle once the ground gets rough or the layout gets messy.

GOKO says the M6 uses four-wheel drive, adaptive suspension, and AI-assisted navigation to cut with less human intervention. The company is clearly aiming at homeowners who want hands-off mowing but have lawns that would push cheaper models into repeated rescues.

The slope, terrain, and recovery pitch

The headline spec here is slope handling. GOKO says the M6 can climb slopes up to 90%, or 42 degrees, while also clearing obstacles up to 7.5 cm, which is roughly 3 inches. That is a serious claim for a residential mower and one of the main reasons the M6 stands out at all.

The mower also includes what GOKO calls an All-Terrain Recovery System. In practice, that means large off-road tires plus software that can recognize trouble spots such as muddy patches or exposed roots and try to free itself automatically. For owners with seasonal terrain changes or rough patches that would trap a weaker mower, that could reduce the number of times a robot turns into a lawn ornament.

It also features 180-degree independent front-wheel steering. GOKO says that setup helps the mower make smoother turns and reduces stress on turf around flower beds, paths, and landscaped edges. That may sound like a small detail, but on a lawn robot, maneuvering often determines whether the end result looks neat or ragged.

Navigation stays wire-free, even when signals wobble

One of the M6’s bigger selling points is its navigation system. Instead of requiring boundary wires, GOKO says it combines four technologies: nRTK, VSLAM, UMU, and Wheel Tracking.

That matters because wire-free mowers can get tripped up when satellite signals weaken around trees, walls, or buildings. GOKO says the M6 can switch from nRTK to VSLAM if the main signal is interrupted, and continue mowing for up to 10 minutes or about 150 square meters before reconnecting.

The company also says the mower supports switching between Network RTK and Local RTK, which should make installation more flexible across different property layouts. For shoppers, that sounds like a cleaner setup than burying wire, but also one that depends on a fairly sophisticated stack of navigation tech working as promised in real yards, not just controlled demos.

AI QuadVision is the other big feature

GOKO says the M6 uses AI QuadVision, a four-camera vision system with front and side cameras, to identify more than 200 objects in real time. That gives it a wider field of view than mowers that rely only on front-facing cameras, according to the company.

The practical promise is simple: fewer collisions, better obstacle avoidance, and cleaner edge mowing. GOKO says the wider visual coverage helps the mower detect hazards earlier, navigate narrow passages, and trim closer to edges while maintaining safe operation.

For shoppers, this is one of the features worth paying attention to because it affects daily usability. A mower that repeatedly bumps into toys, garden tools, or landscaping features is not really saving time. If AI QuadVision works as described, it could make the M6 more practical for busy yards with more than just grass in them.

Early demand is strong, but the total cost is not fully clear

GOKO says the M6’s Kickstarter campaign has already raised more than $1 million, which suggests there is real interest in a mower that promises industrial-style capability for home use.

The company is now running an early-bird campaign that offers the first 500 Founder Editions with launch pricing and extra benefits. But the available information does not spell out the exact early-bird price, so comparison shoppers should treat the public cost as incomplete for now.

That missing number matters. With products like this, the sticker price is only part of the story. Buyers also need to think about ownership costs such as replacement blades, battery wear, potential service costs, and any subscription or connectivity requirements tied to RTK or app-based features. None of those costs are detailed in the available information, so the full long-term price remains unclear.

The key point is that GOKO is leaning hard on engineering claims, but it is still in early funding mode. That usually means buyers are paying partly for promise, not just product.

Who should pay attention, and who should wait

The GOKO M6 deserves attention if you have a yard that is genuinely hard for standard robot mowers: steep slopes, uneven ground, rough patches, lots of obstacles, or a layout that makes navigation tricky. The 4WD setup, slope rating, recovery features, and wire-free navigation package all point toward a mower built for more demanding conditions than the average suburban patch of grass.

But this is also a product that should be approached carefully. The company’s strongest claims are all about capability, yet the publicly available details do not give shoppers the exact early-bird price, the regular retail price, or the ownership costs that matter most once the novelty wears off.

For most buyers, the verdict is wait. If your lawn is easy, there are likely simpler and cheaper robot mowers to consider. If your lawn is difficult, the M6 is at least interesting enough to watch closely, especially if GOKO eventually backs up the specs with independent testing and clearer pricing.

For now, the GOKO M6 looks like a promising idea for hard-to-mow properties, but not yet a no-brainer purchase.
