Tencent Showcases AI Agents at Shanghai AI Conference

Tencent presented AI agent applications at the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance, which opened in Shanghai on July 17.

Exhibiting for the ninth consecutive year, Tencent used the theme “Hey, my AI Buddy,” aligning with the conference’s “Intelligent Companions, Creating the Future” theme.

The company said its exhibit showed how AI is evolving into a practical partner for production and daily life across different fields.

Tencent’s announcement did not disclose product-level details, technical specifications, commercial rollout plans or the specific applications shown at the event.
